Happy New Year!!! This is not a belated new year wish, I’m sending my greetings for the Chinese New Year. Today, 23 January 2012, is the first day of the Chinese year. If you have Chinese friends, you probably know that they are celebrating this big day.

To prepare for this Chinese New Year topics, I researched for related Chrome themes. Nope, there aren’t many. I then tried to find dragon themes because this is the Year of Dragon. Still in vain. Finally I found these 7 themes that are all red. Red is the color Chinese people associates with the new year and happiness. May I wish everyone a lucky and happy new year?

Naruto Google Chrome Theme – My 7 Favorites

Finally it comes to Naruto Google Chrome Theme, the Chrome themes (and Japanese manga) I like the most! Naruto (ナルト in Japanese) is a manga (comic) and anime which is popular in Asia. It has over 100 million of copies sold in Japanese. It was first published in 1997 and is still on-going.

Although Naruto is a Japanese comic, I think it’s great to share these Naruto Google Chrome Themes with English-speaking visitors of this blog, since Naruto also has appearance in Canada and the US via local publishers and TV channels. Unlike common Japanese comics that have large amount of fighting scenes, Naruto has a good plot and a funny story.

Hello Kitty is a fictional cartoon character created by a Japanese company Sanrio. It is essentially a female kitten with a red bow on the head. It is one of the most popular cartoon character in Eastern Asia, particularly in Japan and China. The kitten is said to be very cute (in Japanese, Kawaii). It attracts children in particular. There are Hello Kitty theme parks in Japan and different cities in Asia. A special feature of Hello Kitty is that it has no mouth (unless in animation where “she” needs to talk).

Unfortunately these are the only Hello Kitty Chrome themes available in Chrome Web Store. So I turn to other unofficial Chrome theme sites and found the following good stuff. To install, you need to click Install or Download on the web site, Chrome would ask you if you want to save it or discard. Click Save, the file would be downloaded and installed automatically.
