7 Chinese New Year Red Chrome Themes

Happy New Year!!!  This is not a belated new year wish, I’m sending my greetings for the Chinese New Year.  Today, 23 January 2012, is the first day of the Chinese year.  If you have Chinese friends, you probably know that they are celebrating this big day.

To prepare for this Chinese New Year topics, I researched for related Chrome themes.  Nope, there aren’t many.  I then tried to find dragon themes because this is the Year of Dragon.  Still in vain.  Finally I found these 7 themes that are all red.  Red is the color Chinese people associates with the new year and happiness.  May I wish everyone a lucky and happy new year?

Google Doodle – 2012 Happy New Year!

Happy new year!  This is my first blog post in 2012.  Let’s start this year with something related to the new year.

Google released a 2012 Happy New Year Google doodle.  On the left behind the big G are “hello” in different languages, signaling the coming of a new year.  The other letters shows some of the things you may do: music, reading, cleaning, planing for the new year…  It is a simple one but I like the message behind.  Have a peaceful and solid year 2012.

I guess this holiday doodle is the few Google Doodles that do not require any explanation.  It’s not for the memorial of somebody, it’s not a national day.  It’s simply the festive season!

Happy Holidays from Google - Doodle

Just published on 23 December 2011, this doodle is made to celebrate the Christmas and new year.  Each year Google releases happy holidays doodles during this season.  Below are a few of the best happy holidays doodles I like in the past years.
